Since1998 the APCS Division in JSC «EREC» took part in the project of creation of new digital head APCS designed in Russia. The realization of this task demanded creation of APCS Test Site equipped with all necessary communication and life-support systems of Unit’s APCS.
Within the works on creation of state-of-the-art national APCS for VVER, an adjustment and tests of the basic design solutions of new generation of APCS successfully implemented as in national so in foreign NPPs of Russian design were carried out.
Existence of APCS Test Site, test facility base with process control as well as experience in organization and production of works allow to:
- Carrying out of tests of APCS complex parts (subsystems, SHWC, SHW), representative APCS systems (software) and its hardware components for the units under construction and operated ones of NPPs and TPPs in Russia and abroad;
- Adjustment of operating procedures and documents regarding to APCS, training of operational and service personnel of APCS Departments at NPP;
- Adjustment and tests of the new digital sensor and actuators control;
- adjustment and tests of jack panels of electrical cables and fiber-links jointly with the state of the art hard- and software;
- demonstration of advanced designs in the APCS area, demonstration exchange of experience in the questions of hard- and software operation of APCS;
- commissioning of the monitoring and control system of APCS directly onto the operation object.
